CHAPTER NINE. LEAVING
-"There`s one more thing, Clark, which I`ve got to tell. I`m 65, as well as, you, but I`m so bored of living as though I have lived 100 years. I think it`s time for me to leave". - continue I with a smile on my lips.
-"You`re kidding, right?" - asks my friend smiling.
-"I`m afraid, I`m not. I just don`t want to live any more. So, I plan to divide all my fortune among my kids. But still there`s a lot of money left. And I want you to leave $100.000.000. And this time I just want to hear one simple reply :"YES!" - I didn`t finish...
-"Yes, George. I agree. I beg your pardon, that my response was so quick. The fact is, that I need to have a secret bank account in case... You know, young ladies always need a lot of money, new dresses, cars, apartments and I cannot say "No!", though sometimes I should have to. That`s why I really will appreciate your financial support. I know, it`s very bad on my part, to expect from you additional financial assistance after you`ve done so much for me. Actually, you`ve completely changed my entire life. earlier I didn`t even imagine that one can live in such a luxury. And now I got used to such kind of life and can`t even think of loosing it. do you understand me?" - he asked.
-" That`s O.K., buddy. Open a separate, secret account and don`t tell anybody about it. And then, in case of need you`ll get a certain amount of money every month, but according to the signed agreement they won`t give you the total sum of money they save for you and up to the rest of you life. So, that`s O.K. I`m very glad you enjoy the life you`re living. Concerning me? As soon as I`ll be done with my fortune I plan to buy a one-way ticket on the cruise ship and then in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean..."
-"Oh, George! I`m so sorry. I just don`t understand how you can do it being totally healthy. There`re so many young ..."
-" Will you stop it, Clark? I want you to respect my decision and not tell a single soul about our conversation. Promise?"
-"No doubt! Don`t worry about it! I just... O.K. Sorry, I just can`t even imagine..."
-"That`s practically all that I wanted to say. Can we just leave without long speeches?
-" Yes. Sure! As you wish! Bye! Got to go!" - it looked like I saw tears in his eyes, but then he left very quickly. He just didn`t want me see him crying. It was really for the first time. I, personally, had no emotions whatsoever.
