Temple of the Light

A  magnificent  Temple  of  the  Light
With  towers  glittering  in  the  sun
Rises  proudly  to  the  height
Through  the  chaotic  years’  run.

When  passing  by  I  always  stare
Without  noticing  the  crowd
It  brings  me  holy  atmosphere
With  which  I  easily  leave  the  ground.

Its  domes  are  sparkling  in  sunrays
And  something  new  is  felt  within.
I  feel  the  fame  of  ancient  days
and  when  the  bell  begins  to  ring

My  soul  stands  still  in  admiration
And  unexpected  sudden  gay
Is  born  with  rapid  inclination
To  something  ideal  and  divine!

This  is  the  place  when  I  feel  rest
Where  nothing  is  in  spite  of  peace.
Here  I  forget  about  all  bad
And  only  here  all  pain  is  ceased.

With  snow-white  pigeons  spinning  above
This  majestic  sacred  place
Makes  me  stare  more  and  more,
Filling  my  soul  with  thanks  and  prays…

The  Portrayals  of  the  angels
And  the  statues  of  the  Saints,
Dozens  brightly  burning  candles
Inspire  great  hopes  and  the  light.

Finding  myself  here
In  these  walls      amidst
The  divine  atmosphere
I  understand:  the  peace  exists.
